This session will give you hands-on experience with + yum/rpm model for open source technology install and maintenance + Node-red flow based programming + Watson Assistant chatbot capability + DB2 for i integration and particularly the Db2 for i Services + sample integrations with CL and RPG + external API integration - Weather data for example + Internet of Things - publishing and subscribing The use of Node-RED means there is no dependence on RPG, COBOL, CL, Java and the like - the tool allows for rapid application development, with minimal need for coding: attendees spend more of the time building prototype applications quickly rather than on understanding syntax and build steps.
